The Palestinian Cultural Exhibition – Coverage

I posted about the Palestinian Cultural Exhibition earlier hoping many of you who can make it to come. The exhibition was held by the Palestinian Cultural Center in Bayt Lothan in Salmiya. The Palestinian cultural center was founded here in Kuwait in 1965 to support the Palestinian women and to preserve the Palestinian heritage as a mean of maintaining the Palestinian cultural Identity. The various rooms of Bayt Lothan hosted many cultural and hand made artifacts starting from the famous Palestinian olives to embroidered traditional dresses. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to take pictures of those artifacts. However, I will be sharing other interesting pictures with you.

amazing!

Couldn’t take more pictures of the food, like always, it was the busiest booth!

  1. “The various rooms of Bayt Lothan hosted many cultural and hand made artifacts starting from the famous Palestinian olives to embroidered traditional dresses. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to take pictures of those artifacts” (.)

    Why?

    • Well all the artifacts were especially hand made for a charity cause. Some people might use the the original creative designs for the embroidery and traditional clothes and other things and sell them for a lower price for their own interest. Or that’s what I understood from the people in charge there.

  2. It’s a pity, but unfortunately also reality that at some exhibitions, the making of photo’s isn’t allowed. I don’t understand that. Especially not for an exhibition which aims to bring awareness among the people for their cause. Moreover because these traditional clothes and other items are part of the Palestinian heritage. And isn’t that the whole point? Showing the rich culture to the world. Being proud on your history instead of hiding it because of a fallacy.

But for those -like me- who wants to watch these beautifull-, original Palestinian dresses, there’s always something to find on YouTube.
