“Minaret” Book Review

Have you ever wondered what would it be like to be on the top of the social triangle and then fall all the way down? Is it really falling or is it finally finding the new righteous way?

‘Minaret’ is an amazing story by Leila Aboulela, a Sudanese writer, telling the story of a young woman adjusting her new life style. The way the story is told is amazing as Leila provides interesting flashbacks, allowing her readers to discover the changes that may occur to oneself and the people around.

I recommend reading this novel at this time, because it will put you within the frame of the familiar political issues that happened in the story and repeating itself nowadays. The language is easy and simple. It can be finished in a couple of days.

Enjoy reading!
